Concept Design Supervisor

The professional history of Christian Alzmann is among the richest and most varied in the digital art world.

His love for design started in his childhood, when he began to reproduce on paper any kind of image that inspires him like spaceships, science fiction creatures and fantasy images were certainly his favorite subjects.

He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, which allowed him to achieve high quality standards in a very short time, graduating with honors.

He joined the big family of Industrial Light & Magic after graduating, and created concept art for one of the masterpieces of Steven Spielberg, AI.

Christian is one of the most esteemed professionals after working in the industry for so long.

He has worked on numerous world-renowned film projects including Men in Black 2, Pirates of the Caribbean, War of the Worlds, Transformers, Star Trek 2, The Jungle Book, Warcraft, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, which he was concept designer for BB-8. He was a concept artist on The Mandalorian, and is largely responsible for bringing Baby Yoda to life. He is currently a concept design supervisor at Lucasfilm.

In addition to the film industry, this brilliant artist is also involved in publishing; he has illustrated sci-fi book covers and fantasy novels for several clients and has created his own book: Tales: The Art of Christian Alzmann, which includes some of his digital paintings, sketches and drafts.
